CTEP Program Coordinator

Northern Lights School Division No.113 is a provincial school system serving a predominantly Indigenous school population throughout an area encompassing the entire northern half of Saskatchewan. The schools are very diverse ranging from 10 to over 500 students per school, and catering to Cree, Dene, Métis, French, and English cultures and languages.

NLSD provides a full range of pre-kindergarten to Grade Twelve programs to more than 4300 students in 21 schools. We have offices located in the beautiful communities of La Ronge and Beauval, both approximately 400 kilometers north of Saskatoon.

The division is progressively piloting programs unique to Canada, staying on the cutting edge of technology, and integrating the varied cultural aspects of the communities into the classrooms.

Northern Lights School Division No. 113 requires a talented, ambitious, and self-motivated program coordinator who can work independently and with other team members. The program coordinator will serve as the primary contact between the Northern Lights School Division Beauval site and collaborate with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Arts and Science, and the College of Education. 

Location:  Beauval, SK

Start Date: As soon as possible

FTE: Full-time

Term of Employment: Temporary until June 30, 2025

Salary and Benefits:  According to the provincial salary grid (www.stf.sk.ca) plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance.  Moving assistance may also be available.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education Degree  
• superior interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• exemplary organizational and planning skills
• fluency in the Cree, Michif and/or Dene languages

The Successful Candidate will be able to:

• learn the program for program planning, advising, and support purposes;
• assist in communication;
• liaise between the Northern Lights School Division Senior Administration team, the College of Arts and Science and the College of Education;
• consult with the Field Experiences Office of the Programs Office for coordination, field experience placement, and ensuring students meet all necessary requirements before engaging in field experiences; and
• support instructors and students in the program,
• demonstrate strong educational and cultural leadership skills evidenced by successful accomplishments
